It’s May 1st… Spring has sprung and in a few weeks, Memorial Day and the unofficial start of summer will be here.

I know we’re going to do this when the day actually hits, but let’s start early and take a moment to remember the people who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend the rights of citizens.

This is a short piece of fiction I wrote to talk about not only those who have left, but also those who were left behind.

If you like it, please share.

DAVID • Think: Travel App-titude

David March 15DAVID • Think: Travel App-titude.

This month in David, I’m putting my vast knowledge of travel to the test when I give you my thoughts on some of the cool connection apps out there to cover all aspects of your trip.

In addition to my piece, there’s all sorts of great reads to be found between the covers.

It’s February, so this month’s issue of David is all about relationships. And while I tend to be fairly private about my relationships in general, there is one I have absolutely no problem talking about.

And that’s just what I’ve done this month for the magazine. So here’s a story about me and my best four-legged friend, Laika Wonderdog!

Love that pain-in-the-ass pup!

David January 15DAVID • Think: A Singer & His Muses.

This month I take a look at Isaac Bashevis Singer in light of a new documentary about his process. Fascinating guy!

There’s a bunch of other really great pieces as well so check out the whole magazine! Let me know what you think.

And if you’re in Vegas, the film is showing at the Jewish Film Festival. See if you can’t get tickets.

Sure, it’s set ostensibly around the High Holidays of Judaism but I’d like to think it’s a fairly universal piece about any time the family gathers to celebrate anything. It’s not a long piece, shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes to read it, but I’d appreciate it if you actually gave it those few minutes.  Continue reading “DAVID • Think: Little Histories”

Here’s my latest piece for David Magazine. My thoughts on what a commencement speech should say and do.

For all of my students who are graduating, for anyone who is in school or university now and looking forward to the day when they can wear the cap and gown and for everyone who has already crossed that stage and shook hands while receiving their diploma, this is for you.

And for everyone else about to enjoy the summer, there’s other great articles in here for you, too!

DAVID Magazine: Paparazzi Me

David may 14My latest article for David Magazine is here.

This is the one I was talking about when I posted recently about the infamous Ellen Selfie.

There’s all sorts of other great stuff in this month’s issue, which marks 4 years of publication this month.

So, congratulations to Max and Joanne, Steve and Brianna and everyone else involved with putting out this consistently entertaining and award winning magazine!
