And Just Like That, She’s Three…

And just like that, she’s three. Doesn’t seem that long ago, does it? I know, back before I had kids, and parents would talk about how it goes “in the blink of an eye,” I would nod and agree and not know what the hell I was talking about.

I do now.

That picture there, that’s a great example of where my life is at at the moment. That’s her, in the princess dress and pink hat, running away to do her own thing. In this case, the thing she wants to do is something I absolutely do not want to do but yet, I’m going to do it because that’s just the way it goes, right?

And so, today marks the start of our little Monki’s 4th trip around the sun. The past three years have marked so many ups and downs, so many changes to lifestyle and life. It’s been an amazing journey, one I never thought I’d actually be on, and I’m forever grateful I get to be a part of it.

So happy birthday, little girl. I can’t wait to see the adventures you drag me into and I’m looking forward to exploring this amazing world through your eyes.
