This entry actually starts on Tuesday, November 2nd with a lot of travel. Malev, the Hungarian Airline, is okay. Nothing fancy but then there doesn’t need to be. I made my flight (not as easy as it sounds, I got confused at the gate – there’s a difference between Gate 22 and Gate 22A – and they took me into a special room to make the power cord of my computer wasn’t a bomb) and made it back to Budapest easily enough. Heidelberg
Here in Europe, at least in some parts of it including Hungary, this week was fall break. This meant I had a whole week off from work and I was going to take advantage of it. My first stop was Germany.

Amsterdam – City of contradictions…
Overnight trains leave a lot to be desired. In this instance, I got on board at 7pm and wasn’t going to get off again until 10 the next morning. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing except when you’re in a train compartment with five other people and your legs are intertwined it gets hard to sleep. Add in the fact that people are constantly leaving the train and the sun is coming up and someone forgot to draw the blinds and really, not the best night’s sleep. Secrets…
Been having an interesting experience lately. A couple of girls I’m involved with, emotionally if not romantically, have needed me recently. And each time I’ve been there. And each time I’ve been a secret. Each of these girls has a boy friend and it’s not me. And each of them I’d date but instead I’m just the good friend.
Now, I’m okay with that…to a point. Where I’m having a hard time is that even though I’m there, no one knows what I’m doing. I’m the secret friend. I’m the one who gets denied and asked to leave as soon as the crisis is over. Continue reading “Secrets…”
