So I’m doing something a little crazy

Badge makes me a writer I knew I needed something to kick my brain into gear so I thought I would take a page from SFWA Grandmaster Ray Bradbury.

Bradbury, when he was starting out, sat down to write a short story a week. This seemed like a good idea to me, something to get me practicing a little more. Try Some, Buy Some?

ThursdaysFor some reason, maybe it’s because I miss being visually creative or because I wanted to see some of these things in the world, who knows? But what’s happened is that I’ve come up with some products, thanks to some amazing designers, and made a little shop to sell them.

Now, this isn’t some plan to get rich or anything like that (yes, I do make a little bit, but really that’s just for Monki’s college fund) but more just for me to have some design fun and share things. So if you see something you like, pick it up. If there’s something you want, let me know.

Review: Tomorrowland

tomorrowland posterTomorrowland channels the pop cultural idea of Walt Disney and wears its heart on its sleeve… and while that’s okay, I expected more from Brad Bird.

Opening with the “gosh, gee willikers” approach of young Frank Walker to the 1964 World’s Fair in New York (side note, someone should do a piece on the cultural impact that particular world’s fair has had on popular culture) to show off his home built jet pack to Nix (Hugh Laurie).
